Into the Future
I would like to welcome you to our bluegr family and properties,
where new aesthetics and pleasures for the senses await you.
• New public spaces at Minos Beach art hotel have been
decorated with minimalist materials and contemporary Greek
artwork, making guests feel that they are visiting a modern art
museum. We continue the refurbishment of rooms in simple, el-
egant lines as a continuation of the outdoor surroundings.
Nature and its aromas are prominent in the signature architec-
ture. The sound of water relieves the tired mind and fills the soul.
• Minos Palace hotel & suites, almost suspended on the hill-
side, boasts panoramic ocean views. We continue for a second
year to renovate the rooms with a smart architectural elegance that
leads you onto the terrace, offering vistas of the immense blue.
• Meanwhile, at Candia Park village, we continued to im-
prove our rooms for the third year while for 2020 we are plan-
ning the complete reconstruction of the Sea View family suites.
Our new collaboration with Worldwide kids provides the highest
levels of childcare in the hotel.
• In the realm of gastronomy, a new collaboration with re-
nowned chef Giannis Baxevanis brings Cretan flavors to center
stage, using only the freshest, purest local ingredients – while our
wine list grows by embracing new producers and indigenous
Greek grape varieties, reflecting the upward trend of Greek wine.
• In December 2018, the Hellenic Management Associ-
ation (EEDE) awarded bluegr the "Recognized for Excellence"
4 star EFQM award for the high efficiency of its management
systems. This places the bluegr hospitality group among an in-
ternational elite of distinguished companies that have reached
four star status with EFQM.
• Our love for art brings a joint mixed media installation by
T. Zafeiropoulos and Y. Rimenidis, recipients of the G. & A. Mam-
idakis Foundation Art Prize, “Come with the Wind,”as well as
the “one sec” by the Cretan sculptor G. Gyparakis to our hotels.
The former makes references to the Aerides of Plaka with
eight sound columns representing the various winds. The sounds
are processed recordings of traditional music from eight different
regions of Greece.
• The G.&A. Foundation continues to contribute to the local
community, with the completion of a library at the Aghios Niko-
laos elementary school and conducting a study in relation to the
creation of a psychiatric clinic at the local hospital. Gina Mamidakis
We are proud of the bluegr family, where everyone -from
employees to management and partners-works together to serve Gina Mamidakis
our guests, our country and local society.
Doing business without offering anything back to society
has no place either in this, or any future generation. Chief Executive Officer
