FROM PRIVATE BEACHES AND POOLS TO AN OUTDOOR GYM
AND SPA, WELLNESS TAKES PRECEDENCE AT THE ROYAL BLUE.
Much like the rest of the hotel, our signa-
ture massage treatments take inspiration from our surround-
ings. Thalassa, Ammos and Kyma – meaning Sea, Sand and
Wave – use shells, starflower or seaweed to soothe, mois-
turise and remove toxins from the body. But there’s plenty
more to choose from, too, including treatments designed for
pregnancy, couples, and even for children. Stay a little longer
and get yourself evening-ready with a blowdry, mani-pedi or
make up session. Spa aside, there’s plenty to keep your soul
happy and our holistic offering is designed to enhance every-
thing already found within our natural paradise.
Enjoy a workout in the great outdoors at our open-air gym,
soak up the sound of the waves on our private beach, admire
the open skies above our shared swimming pools, or bask
in the peaceful indulgence found in the private pools within
many of our rooms. •
Take care of you at the Pure Blue Spa with time out in a relaxation room (top) or poolside (bottom).
THROUGHOUT TIME, FOOD HAS BEEN
CENTRAL TO THE GREEK WAY OF LIFE
AND IT’S A PHILOSOPHY WE EMBODY.
A celebration of Cretan ingredients, recipes and wines
runs through our restaurants, alongside a celebration of life. Our main
restaurant, Symposium, welcomes you for breakfast or dinner and invites
you to experience a communal way of dining, one that echoes the lauded
banquet of ancient Greece. Here, discover local recipes such as Skioufihta,
a Cretan pasta and Gamopílafo, a rice-based dish served at local wed-
dings. Choose from a delicious à la carte menu including grilled seafood,
fresh feta, homemade breads, and burgers at poolside Alati or the more
rustic Elia, followed by beachside cocktails or coffee at Thea, Ammos Bar
and Tiki Bar with its mesmerizing ambience. As sunset falls, there’s no bet-
ter place to enjoy it than at Elixir Bar, with 360º views of the surrounding Uncover a world of Cretan cuisine (top and
seas, before dressing up for dinner at Asterias where seafood, fresh from bottom) and indulge in local, wholesome
the Aegean, is served with the quality wines from local producers. Contin- dishes with loved ones (top).
ue your wine discovery at Enoteca, a wine cellar with more than 80 labels
from within Greece and further afield.
