As the Acropolis Museum
celebrates 15 years in
2024, it proudly opens its
new excavation museum.

M arking its 15th anniversary, the
Acropolis Museum introduces an
innovative excavation museum.
This pioneering space on the south-
ern excavation site features 1,150 ar-
tifacts from over 4,500 years of history. The exhibits,
organized thematically and chronologically, unique-
ly highlight aspects of daily life in an ancient neigh-
borhood: household organization, the activities of
men, women, and children, entertainment, commu-
nication, trade, workspaces, and places of worship.
To access the excavation site and its exhibits, a general ad-
mission ticket to the Acropolis Museum is required.
