THE ROSE FACTORY EXPERIENCE
Every April and May, thousands of pink roses bloom around the mountain
village of Agros. At the same time, the annual rose festival is organised,
which is definitely worth visiting if your trip to Cyprus coincides with
this special event. Alternatively, get a taste of this experience by visiting
the Tsolakis Rose Factory located at 12 Triantafyllou Street in Limassol,
exclusively dedicated to the exquisite Damascus rose and its processing.

Events I June-August
TRADITIONAL FESTIVALS
Every month during the summer, Cyprus
organises numerous traditional festivals.
In June, the village of Pedoulas hosts the
Cherry festival, which is rich in feasts and
sweet treats. In July, the famous Cypriot
potato is honoured at the Pancyprian
Potato Festival in Avgorou while in
August, the prized hazelnut is celebrated
at the Hazelnut Festival of Platanistasa.

Things to see

A SAFARI AND CRUISE TO CAPE AKAMAS
Departing f rom Limassol, explore Cape Akamas by land and sea,
combining a safari and cruise experience. This mountainous area,
which cannot be explored by car, hosts many rare species of plants and
animals, and is also known for its two beaches, which are protected as
nesting area for loggerhead sea turtles.

Events I July-August
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF
ANCIENT GREEK DRAMA
Staged in Cyprus, this festival features
artists from dozens of countries with a
strong focus on ancient Greek dramaturgy.
High quality productions are presented
to the public every July and August, in
similarly important venues such as the
Kourion Ancient Theatre in Limassol,
the Ancient Odeon in Paphos and the
Makarios III Amphitheatre in Nicosia.
